A happy family playing in the snow after finding a new family dentist in Longmont.

Are you new to the Longmont area? You may be concerned with finding the best schools and places to eat. After getting a little settled, families start to realize that they need to find a dentist they can trust to do great work. If you are in the market for a new dentist, we would love to treat your whole family. To help make this decision, here are three questions we often get asked when potential patients come visit us.

  1. Do you treat the whole family?

Yes! We treat families of every shape and size. Family dentistry is ideal because we want to get to know all of you. It also helps make your life less chaotic because we can get you all in together. For families with young children, our staff is trained to work a little differently with them. We take extra time to complete tasks, explain everything we will do before it’s done, and make sure the kids are at ease while sitting in the dental chair.

The recommended age we tell our patients to start bringing kids is the age of three. This is usually when teeth start touching each other and the child is old enough to have us check their teeth. If a child is going to struggle in the seat, we can usually do an exam on a parent or older sibling first to help them see that it isn’t scary. We love reinforcing good dental habits with our younger patients and making sure they have a strong foundation for dental health their whole life.

  1. What services do you provide?

We want all our patients to get as much work done in our office as possible. Preventive dentistry is one of our strong focuses, hoping that cavities won’t have a chance to appear. Another area of focus is cosmetic dentistry, because we like to help our patients have strong, beautiful, confident smiles. If more advanced work is required, like dental implants, veneers, or bridges, we offer all of those in our office as well.

Another bonus to being one of our patients is that we specialize in restorative dentistry. If you ever have an accident or major problem with your teeth, we can help restore your smile. Dentures are part of this branch of dentistry, with several options to fit your lifestyle. If mouth guards are needed for sports or preventing grinding, we can also support you on that without individualized mouth guards. We can help you and your family at any age.

  1. Do you offer sedation?

A big selling point for patients is that we offer sedation dentistry. This allows you to come in and have dental work done while under a form of conscious sedation. Many people prefer absolute comfort during the work and then possibly not remember anything that happened. Sedation is also great for kids of any age who have a hard time sitting in the dental chair or adults who suffer from nerve damage or Parkinson’s disease.

There are many reasons that we would love to be your new dentist. If you are looking to have other questions answered or would like a tour, please feel free to stop by our office. We want you to have a positive experience and have a healthy mouth.
