  • ‘Colorado’ is Spanish for ‘colored’ or ‘colored red.’ The Spanish explorers named the Colorado River for the red silt in the river carried from the mountains.

  • Denver International Airport (DEN), in Denver, Colorado, is the world’s second largest and the largest airport in the US by total area covering an area of 13,726 hectares. The airport has the longest commercial runway in the US with an entire length of 16,000 feet.
