Children’s Dentistry

We recommend children come to their first dental appointment around age three. Dr. Rogge knows the importance of setting a positive view of the dentist, so the first few visits are very gentle. Until the patient is four, Dr. Rogge will perform a half visit, to check teeth and reinforce positive hygiene habits.

Starting at four and above, kids are invited to watch a children’s movie, with televisions mounted above every chair. This keeps them occupied, while making the dental office a fun place to be. Dr. Rogge and his staff are all very friendly and can communicate at an age-appropriate level.

We reinforce positive home hygiene habits with praise. We also decorate our office with a picture board of our young patients who had no cavities on their latest visit. A treasure chest is also available for kids to pick out a fun toy after their visit. With the right emphasis on proper dental care, kids’ smiles can be healthy and strong for life!
